Volume IV – Deadline Extension

Submissions for our Summer 2019 issue will now remain open until 11:59PM ET on March 23rd.

We are seeking dark, psychological literary works, with a particular interest in pieces that explore themes related to mental health, isolation, and displacement.

We are particularly interested in fiction and flashfiction pieces, but will continue to accept poetry and art submissions.

We are happy to announce that we are now accepting submissions for the second issue of Déraciné literary magazine. The issue will be released this summer, so please send in your submissions!

Déraciné Magazine Winter 2017

We are pleased to announce that our debut issue, Déraciné Winter 2017, is now live.

We would like to thank our talented contributors for providing us with such brilliant works. We would also like to thank those who supported and encouraged us in our endeavour to create a new outlet for literary voices.

Déraciné is pleased to announce that we will be extending the deadline for our writing contest!

All entrants now have until November 10th, 2017 to submit stories or poems that follow our writing prompt.

Writing Prompt: Intrusive thoughts

Short stories (max 8000 words), flashfiction, and poetry are all acceptable. Make it dark, fresh, and meaningful.

Winning pieces will be published in our winter 2017 issue. We will also create a special promotional post for you which will be featured on our tumblr, website, and our twitter.

Writing Contest!

Déraciné Literary Magazine is pleased to announce our first writing contest!

Writing prompt: Intrusive thoughts

Send us your literary short stories, flashfiction pieces, or poems that follow the prompt. We are looking for metaphorical and symbolic representations of intrusive thoughts. Make it dark, fresh, and meaningful.

Prizes:

Winners (one for each category – Fiction & Poetry ): your work will be published in our winter 2017 issue. We will also create a special promotional post for you which will be featured on our tumblr, website, and our twitter.

Runners-up: You will be featured in a promotional post on our tumblr, website, and our twitter.

Rules: Please submit your contest entry to our submissions email, and include “Writing Contest” in the subject line.* Stories can be a maximum of 8000 words. Please review our full guidelines, as they also apply to contest entries.

Deadline: September 21st, 2017

Winners will be contacted by email.
